Ethan's 7th birthday is coming up and he wants a pirate party. In January. With snow outside. Which means a bunch of kids inside. Glen suggested inviting Ethan's friends over for pizza and to watch Pirates of the Caribbean! I'm worried their mothers wouldn't appreciate that. Any help/suggestions are appreciated!!!

They're darling on their pirate ship. Good luck with the birthday party thing. I wish I had a clever idea or two to help you out with but birthday parties have always been a struggle for me. However, the back-up games that I planned just in case we had time worked out the best last time. For example, I had a sheet and some stuffed animals and the kids had a great time standing in a circle, holding the sheet tight, and throwing the animals in the air. Simple is always better.
